    1. What is Ecological Literacy (EL)?
      1. Ecological Literacy Program is a Eco Reformation Movement on Integrated Ecological Advocacy to inculcate a SUSTAINABILITY PARADIGM based on SYSTEMIC THINKING which reforms a sustainable future of the living kind IN (not on) the planet.
    2. What is the need of EL?
      1. Our post industrial social dynamics keep the social system to the peak of resources and it began to fall. This fall has started reflecting to all areas of life and the life models accustomed by the society are no longer valid for a sustainable existence. If it continues in this pace, the current society cannot exist here.
      2. The Mainstream academics do understand the shallow issues of the present time and the expected catastrophes in the near future.  The real and deeper (NON SHALLOW or DEEP) aspects of the environmental paradigm and social position, role and impact on the eco are proven parallel among the academies.
      3. As the DEEPER UNDERSTANDING is not in resonance with the current industrial and consumerist market based economy, it is being hidden.
      4. So as the shallow perspective is being publicized, all the governments and non governmental NGOs all over the world make awareness around and it become a fad among the conventional proponents/bureaucrats.  On the other hand this shallow hearsay is becoming inadequate to make a rapport and paradigm among the public.
      5. The current paradigms of social consciousness only will make the facts of tomorrow. So a real integrated, sustainable, organic paradigm is to be cultivated among the society about their role, position, impact and position in the Eco.
      6. With the insufficient awareness on what the position, impact and role a citizen have on the eco, we cannot expect an outcome which leads to the real sustainability.
      7. It is believed that EL can be one among such literacy systems which can bring about such a drastic shift in the paradigms of the general society.
    3. What is the Current Scenario?
      1. This dynamic world animates itself by the transactions of materials which formed out of fundamental energy particles of the Eco (Nature). This system of energy transactions in terms of materials, sourced from both the original and artificial Eco is called Eco-Nomy.
      2. The original resource level in the nature is based on the pure Eco, which has been designed in a way to cycle all its components, all the time.
      3. Our Economy is based on Market and Capital. The Superficial concepts of Market Economy are emphasizing on monetary VALUE. Value growth is a virtual concept, which would not increment any recourses of this nature. So when the Market economy keeps on converting the resources in to non revocable materials, the actual growth of value cannot be resonant to the original resources in the Eco.
      4. The value growth increases the consumption of resources and the natural resource transactional system cannot tolerate the value based consumption and demand. This causes the collapse of the Eco-Nomical and Eco-Logical systems. We are on the verge of the collapse and it reflects in mostly all areas of life.
      5. It is measured that we are on such a verge and it is a threat to the sustainability of the Living kind.
      6. It is understood that returning to resource based Eco-Nomy only will resolve the Eco-Nomical and Eco-logical Degenerations.
      7. An approach with an analytical (fragmented) perspective will not be a remedy to resolve the said issue. So, it is understood that a comprehensive, integrated, scientific, holistic reformation system is urgently required to build up a Sustainable Social System, based on a clear understanding on what the Eco is all about.
    4. Who are the target audiences?
      1. The actual audiences are all the citizens of this world
      2. For the practical  actualizations we target
        ● The members of Parliament, Legislative Assembly and Local Bodies
        ● The officials of the governmental and non governmental services,
        ● The judiciary and bar council members,
        ● Entrepreneurs, Industrialists, Merchants, Farmers Etc.
        ● Non governmental organizations in the service sector,
        ● Teachers and students of the formal and informal academies.
      3. We will have to target each members of the civil society for a complete switch over, but as the said function is practically not possible by the direct proponents, we primarily focus on any available audiences, from any category, whom we can reach out easily and quickly.
      4. The Greencross Foundation is also targeting on individuals and organizations, to take up the deed of voluntary inculcation in localized areas and category groups.
    1. What are the expected outcomes?
      1. The expected outcome is a social paradigm on a balanced existence of the Eco and subservient systems.
      2. The subservient systems are
        ● Living organisms including Humans, other flora & fauna.
        ● Subservient non living systems including
        ● Naturally developed earthly elements (Mountains, Ocean, Land Etc)
        ● Man made systems including transactional systems, industries, consumables, buildings etc.
      3. With a balanced paradigm of the society, it is expected that
        ● A greater shift towards sustainability would be manifested among all the beings, systems, and subservient elements..
        ● The current society and coming generations can sustain here, in the forth coming years with a Natural Harmony and Evolutional growth.
    1. How this program is being planned to be implemented?
      1. We plan to implement this program by
        ● Making Campus Green Units in various institutions to facilitate a GREEN HUB in that local area.
Make a Voluntary resource group in each units by giving the volunteers proper training on the topics of Ecological Literacy.
Making the Voluntary resource groups to extend the trainings and practices in the near by schools, colleges, social groups, communities with the help of local administrative bodies like panchayaths and ward councils.
Making follow up activities to lead the local society to a self reliant social system.
    1. What are the various levels of Involvement?
      1. The Levels of involvements are as follows
        ● Facilitators
        ● Resource Persons
        ● Volunteers
        ● Local organizers
        ● Participants
    1. How these programs differ from the conventional environmental educational programs?
      1. The current environmental awareness programs address on direct issues and remedies of the immediate environment and analyze it with a specialist approach.  The solutions they provide are mere reactive and according to the laws of the Eco, all reactive-ness would add on the issue and empower it to stasisize.
      2. Through Ecological Literacy Program the Target Groups can address the very issues of their integrated ecology in its possible holistic form, thus empower them to lead to a sustainable community living.
