Greetings dear friends,

The Spirit Of Nature  Nelliampathy Nature Camp (Sahavasam or Coherence) is scheduled to begin on Friday, 13-06-2025. This note is intended to give you a general overview of the Sahavasam program.

Timings:

    • On the first day (13-06-2025), registration will begin at 3:00 PM.

    • The informal inauguration will also take place at 3:00 PM.

    • On the second and third days, everyone is expected to wake up by 5:30 AM, and classes will start at 6:15 AM.

    • On day one and day two, the day’s events will conclude by 10:15 PM.

    • The informal closing session will be held on Sunday at 3:30 PM.

The Camp Will Start on Time:

    • As per the Olympuss policy, programs begin exactly on time, regardless of the number of attendees.

    • So, please ensure you arrive at the camp venue well in advance.

Simultaneous with Registration – Corte-Carve Practice:

    • At 3:00 PM, alongside registration, the main attraction of the event — the Corte-Carve baton practice — will begin.

Purpose of Starting Corte-Carve Early:

    • To provide participants an early opportunity to become aware of their own strengths and limitations before the program officially starts.

    • To help dismantle any preconceived notions arising from previous experiences in other gatherings, nature camps, or ideologies.

    • To substitute the ego-centric mindset that often controls us with a more aware and grounded sense of self — helping participants let go of pride and be open to learning.

Things for Participants to Keep in Mind:

    • Those coming as a group should consciously split up, interact with other participants, and develop Companionship across all groups.

    • Maintain politeness and affection in your behavior.

    • Avoid harsh behavior and language.

    • Refrain from arguments and criticisms.

    • If you have differences of opinion, express them gently.

    • Respect others’ perspectives and their freedom to hold differing views.

    • Care for all children present as your own, regardless of who they belong to.

    • Always prioritize the needs and comforts of children and the elderly.

Mobile Phone Usage:

    • Mobile phone usage is considered highly harmful to both the user and those nearby. Therefore, it is strictly prohibited during sessions and in areas where children are present, as per Olympuss policy.

    • During program hours, mobile phones should not be turned on, kept in hand, or used.

    • However, emergency use is permitted, but it must be genuine.

    • During breaks, phones may be used outside the hall for urgent needs. Please avoid data use and social media during this time.

    • Mobile phones may be used for taking photos during nature walks.

    • Phone use is also acceptable during travel or essential moments.

    • Those who feel unable to stay without mobile phones during these days are kindly requested not to attend the sahavasam.

Accommodation:

    • Only one grass mat will be provided per person in the hall.

    • The hall will have access to a western toilet and a bathroom.

    • Those interested in bathing in a river can do so at a nearby stream, though this time there may not be a stream right beside the camp.

    • Those needing privacy for spiritual practices (japa, sadhana, namaz, etc.) may use a separate room without disturbing others.

Sleep Etiquette

    • Sleep early and wake early.

    • Complete silence must be observed after 10:00 PM.

    • Since the hall needs to be prepared by 5:45 AM for morning sessions, participants must wake up by 5:00 AM and complete their morning routines on time.

    • Parents must ensure that children’s sleep and wake routines do not interfere with the flow of the program. Choose children’s sleeping spaces thoughtfully.
