Ponni Olympaue
Co-Founder of Olympuss and Visionary Leader
Ponni Olympaue, the co-founder of Olympuss, is a dedicated advocate for sustainable living, eco-spirituality, and cultural upliftment. Born in Palakkad and raised in Wayanad, she was introduced to natural living at the age of 10 when her father embraced this lifestyle. Inspired by luminaries in naturopathy, yoga, and environmentalism, including Guru Maniyettan and Salim Master, Ponni’s passion for holistic living deepened as she grew older. Her love for reading further enriched her understanding of these fields and literature.
In 1998, at the age of 19, Ponni encountered Olympuss and began practicing its teachings. By 2000, she joined the Olympuss Commune and received initiation into Yoga and Siddha Sadhana from Santhosh Olympuss and Guru Maniyettan. Over a remarkable 26-year journey through the Olympuss doctrine, she became a faculty member of the Deep Ecological Fellowship, contributing her profound insights and experience to the community.
Educational Achievements and Expertise
Ponni holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a master’s in Value Education and Spirituality. A certified acupuncturist and an expert in green schooling and value-based education, she is also a dedicated practitioner of natural hygiene, Vipassana meditation, and holistic health practices.
A Life Dedicated to Holistic Living and Education
Ponni has played a pivotal role in shaping the Greencross Foundation’s vision and initiatives, including the Eco Village and Ecosophical Gurukula. She is a passionate mentor and the acting mother to numerous young seekers, known for her kindness toward animals and dedication to preserving flora and fauna. Married to Santhosh Olympuss in 2004, she naturally delivered and nurtured two children, Prapancha and Prajna, embodying the principles of natural living in her personal life.
Her love for music and dance complements her vibrant personality, while her strong meditation practice underscores her commitment to spiritual growth. Ponni’s holistic approach and unwavering dedication continue to inspire efforts toward a harmonious and sustainable future.
